2024 Holiday Ghost Stories

Picture
This time of year, theaters around the world launch sumptuous stage adaptations
(fog machines! strobe lights! dancing Scrooges!)-- of the enduring classic "A Christmas Carol".
But Dickens's tale was originally intended to provide a different kind of thrill,
a simpler experience wrapped in a spookier winter tradition: the Victorian ghost story.
Nothing lights up a cold, dark night like a little dip into the unknown, so this season the Harbor is
offering a gift-- four bewitching takes on a world beyond on our own.
Light a fire, pour the egg nog, and settle in for a good holiday chill.
