My Dinner With André
at the Boston Center for the Arts based on the film by Wallace Shawn and André Gregory featuring Jonathan Fielding, Robert Kropf, and Robin Bloodworth Forty years ago, two intrepid artists sat down for a five course meal, a glass of amaretto, and a simmering dialectic on the nature of theater. Last summer, two more adventurers brought this iconic conversation to the American stage for the first time- and this March, they bring their acclaimed production to Boston. Based on the cult classic Roger Ebert called "the Best Film of 1981", the Harbor Stage Company presents a bold, beguiling experiment in adaptation, introspection, and taste.
