The ensemble came together in 2008 at the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater and collaborated on over a half dozen plays before forming the Harbor Stage Company in 2012.  Their inaugural season featured a classic, a regional premiere, and a lost American gem garnering both audience and critical support.  The Boston Globe deemed the company its "Dramatically Distinctive Newcomer" of 2012.  Their off-beat aesthetic has earned them a reputation for “impeccable”, “darkly hilarious” productions that “any savvy theater lover would be crazy to ignore”.
